EEG Monitoring and Analysis
Powerful EEG analysis with versatile and intuitive displays
The CNS Monitor provides EEG analysis and display features that make it ideal for neurological monitoring.

|
|
Versatile EEG Amplifier
- For simplified EEG recordings, as few as three electrodes may be applied for a 1-channel recording, or four electrodes for a 2-channel recording
- For more extensive EEG recordings, the referential amplifier can be used to record up to 16 EEG electrode locations (including reference)
- Up to six of the inputs can be used as differential pairs to monitor other physiological signals (e.g.: ECG, EOG, respiration, etc.)
- Continuous impedance checking automatically detects any electrodes that become loose or fall off
- Electrode position indicator LEDs assist with setup and troubleshooting
EEG Displays
- Configurable EEG displays with adjustable time and amplitude scale
- Adjustable high and low frequency filter settings
- Displays may appear as full-screen displays or in a split-screen mode to compare EEG values at different times
Quantitative EEG
- Amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG) calculation and display
- Spectral analysis of EEG along with Compressed Spectral Array (CSA) displays and Density Spectral Array (DSA) displays to observe changes in the frequency content of the EEG
- Trend displays for processed parameters, such as Total Power, Spectral Edge Frequency, EEG Band Power Percentages (delta, theta, alpha, beta), Inter-burst Interval, Percent Suppression, Percent Asymmetry, and other specialized metrics
- Numeric displays for showing the current value of a measurement
Offline Analysis
- Archived data can be converted into formats readable by the following software applications:
- Insight™ (Persyst Development Corporation) for EEG review
- Matlab™ (The MathWorks) for data analysis
Video (optional)
- A USB-connected video camera can capture patient movements for artifact identification and other uses
- Video is time synchronized to other recorded data and can be displayed in real time or during review
