Networking
With the CNS Monitor you have complete access to your multimodality data
Network Archiving of Data
- After completing a recording using the CNS Monitor, it can be transferred over a network to a Windows or Linux server.
- Initial setup of this feature is easy: your IT department simply configures the CNS Monitor with the server's hostname or IP address, the folder location on the server where the data will be stored, and a username and password to enable the transfer of data.
Network Filesharing
- This feature enables the live review of patient data over the network as it is being recorded by the CNS Monitor. It also enables the review of any previous recordings present on the CNS Monitor.
- The CNS Monitor has settings that are fully configurable by your IT department to ensure its visibility on the network.
- Configurable hostname
- Configurations for a dynamically-assigned IP address (via DHCP) or a static IP address
- Multiple username/password accounts capabilities to allow remote access to patient data
Benefits of a Typical Networking Configuration
- The equipment of a typical network configuration will include one or more CNS Monitors (in the ICU, OR, and/or ER), one or more Review Workstations (in the EEG lab, physicians' offices, or other locations), and one or more servers (for storage of data and remote access).
- Patient data from ongoing CNS Monitor recordings can be viewed live from elsewhere in the hospital (such as the EEG lab or a physician's office) or from outside the hospital (such as from a physician's home). Viewing data outside the hospital requires the use of a secure network access method that has been approved and configured by your IT department (such as VPN, Citrix, GoToMyPC, etc.).
- Completed recordings from the CNS Monitors can be transferred over the network for storage on a server, enabling their incorporation into the typical review workflow at your institution (that may include review, annotation, computational analysis, data trimming/compression, and archiving).
